The Boston Red Sox have placed outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela on the 10-day injured list due to a right quadriceps strain, which is retroactive to September 3. The move was made before the team finished off a four-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles with a 3-1 victory. To fill out the roster, the Red Sox recalled infielder/outfielder Nate Eaton from Triple-A Worcester. Rafaela has been having a strong season, batting .282 with 32 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs, and 70 RBIs. He was also recently named to his first career All-Star team.
