The Aporia
Karoline Leavitt, who was 29 years old and served as President Trump’s White House press secretary until August 2021, will begin a new role at Fox News on November 1st as an on-air contributor. In her announcement, Leavitt cited the desire to spend more time with her two young children but also expressed her intent to remain supportive of the Republican Party and President Trump’s agenda. She gave birth to her second child, Viviana, in May 2021, adding that her decision to leave was partly due to balancing work demands with family life. Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott praised Leavitt's unique perspective on current politics stemming from both her White House experience and the presidential campaign trail. This move follows a trend where former Trump administration officials transition to roles at conservative media outlets like Fox, with Kayleigh McEnany being another example who joined in 2021.
