Washington Commanders receiver Jaylin Lane suffered a fractured and dislocated left ankle during their game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in London. The injury, confirmed by an anonymous source familiar with the situation to The Associated Press, will likely keep Lane out for the rest of the season. Lane was hurt while attempting a kickoff return in the third quarter and had to be taken off the field on a cart.
The team's offense has been hit hard this season; standout left tackle Laremy Tunsil is recovering from a torn left triceps muscle, and franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels has missed the last two games due to a dislocated left elbow. In addition, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota injured his right knee during the same game against the Colts.
The Commanders currently have a record of 1-3 and are hoping to get Daniels back as soon as this weekend when they face the New York Giants at home.
