The Aporia
On October 4, in Leon Day Park in West Baltimore, a tragic incident occurred during a youth football homecoming event where a 12-year-old girl was killed and three adults were injured. The shooting began after two men, aged 23 and 28, got into an argument over a parking spot, leading to gunfire that also hit the young girl who was watching the game. Commissioner Richard Worley described the shooters as "two cowards" during his press conference. Mayor Brandon Scott called the event "disgusting," emphasizing the senseless loss of life. Police are actively searching for the suspects involved in the shooting and have found two different types of gun cartridges at the scene. The adult victims, a 25-year-old woman and two men, were not expected to suffer life-threatening injuries.
