A fire near Scrubs Lane in North Kensington caused major disruption to train services between Heathrow and Paddington on Saturday. Six fire engines and around 40 crew members from the London Fire Brigade responded to the blaze, which was reported at 4:10pm. The fire stranded 380 passengers on an Elizabeth Line train, who were later evacuated by the fire service and Transport for London (TfL). As a result of the disruption, train services were suspended until Sunday morning, when some trains resumed running with amended timetables. Elizabeth line services, which normally run between Paddington and Ealing Broadway, did not start until 7:40am on Sunday. Some GWR services were also rescheduled due to the fire. However, by Sunday morning, GWR reported that it was running a "good service" across most of its network.
