The Aporia
Joey Porter Jr., a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, remains inactive for the third consecutive game as they prepare to face the unbeaten Cincinnati Bengals. The decision was made on Sunday before the game, with Porter listed as questionable due to being limited in practice this week because of a back issue and ongoing contract negotiations. Porter entered his final year under his rookie agreement signed in 2023 but has not secured an extension despite seeking one. Additionally, Steelers running back Rico Dowdle is out after injuring his toe in last week’s loss to the New England Patriots, while wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. returns from a foot injury. Other inactive players for Pittsburgh include quarterbacks Drew Allar and Will Howard, running back Eli Heidenreich, and defensive linemen Kevin Jobity and Gabriel Rubio. The Bengals will also be without veteran BJ Hill due to an Achilles tendon injury.
