A 24-year-old man, Roshvin Crofton, has been charged with arson and other crimes after police say he set fire to two cars outside the home of Liberal MP Salma Zahid on August 27th in Toronto. The vehicles were destroyed, and a third car was damaged by the flames. Police also believe that another person was involved in the incident, and are searching for a suspect who drove a 2025 Hyundai Sonata to the scene. This is the second suspect being sought after an alleged arson attack outside Zahid's home, where several vehicles were engulfed in flames early on Thursday morning. The police investigation has led to charges of arson causing damage, mischief over $5,000, conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, possession of incendiary material, and failure to comply with a probation order against Crofton.
