The Aporia
On September 25-26, 2026, a 20-year-old Azeri woman visiting Pakistan for business purposes was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Lahore. The incident occurred after she went out with two women who introduced her to three men at a cafe near Raiwind Road. According to the victim's statement, the suspects drugged her and took her to an unidentified flat where they raped her before abandoning her near Ghazi Interchange. Police registered a case against the suspects and identified them; one was arrested on September 26 while raids continued for the others. Lahore police requested federal authorities to place the names of three prime suspects on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) to prevent their escape. The victim recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure before a judicial magistrate, and two suspects were granted six-day remand for interrogation and evidence collection.
