The Aporia
In late October 2023, Mr. Brandram's two sisters, Alexia Hicks and Sophie Voelcker, appeared on Good Morning Britain to defend their brother against the accusation that he is the "Putney Pusher" suspect. They claimed that the Metropolitan Police's investigation was flawed, stating their brother had no connection to Putney, his distinctive tattoos were not visible in CCTV footage, and the victim reported a brown-eyed attacker rather than Mr. Brandram’s blue eyes. The sisters also pointed out email evidence from his office in the West End at the time of the incident, suggesting he was not near the scene.
The Metropolitan Police initially linked Mr. Brandram to the incident in April after receiving information that opened new investigative paths. However, his sisters accused the police force of failing their duty of care towards their family and argued that leaving the actual perpetrator free could endanger society further. The sisters are now appealing to the Home Secretary for access to DNA test results they believe will exonerate Mr. Brandram.
