Sarah Goldberger, the founder and CEO of Lord Jameson, an organic dog treat company based in New York, believes that the principles of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative should be applied to pet food. The MAHA Commission aims to promote whole, nutrient-dense foods and reduce artificial additives. According to Goldberger, her own dogs - and even her children's lunchboxes - have been beneficiaries of Lord Jameson's treats, which are made with clean ingredients and have an 18-month shelf life despite not containing preservatives. Goldberger started the company in 2019 after her late dog, Jameson, suffered from a medical issue caused by medication.
