One dead, two injured after multi-vehicle crash in Vaughan

On Sunday evening, a fatal multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Jane St. and Brandon Gate Dr. in Vaughan. York Regional Police responded around 7:15 p.m., where they found one person, a 34-year-old man from Stoney Creek, dead at the scene despite emergency efforts to save his life. Another victim, a woman of unknown age, was hospitalized in critical condition; two other occupants from an SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to hospital.

The crash involved a vintage sport coupe with two people inside colliding with a black SUV carrying three individuals. Police have closed the intersection for investigation by Traffic Services and are seeking witnesses or video footage of the incident to assist in their inquiry.
