Story summary

On Saturday, Ed Sheeran addressed the ongoing conflict in Gaza during his concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Following controversy over rapper Macklemore's pro-Palestinian comments and subsequent removal from Sheeran’s tour, Sheeran called the situation in Gaza "catastrophic and unjustifiable," expressing deep concern for civilian casualties and systemic injustice. He emphasized that his music should promote unity rather than politics but acknowledged the humanitarian crisis as a critical issue. The concert drew only partial attendance despite ticket price reductions by promoters due to declining demand.
