Sandro Mazzola, a legendary Italian soccer player and former Inter Milan captain, died at age 83 on Saturday. Mazzola spent his entire 17-year career from 1961 to 1977 with Inter, scoring 158 goals in 565 matches. He helped the club win four Serie A titles and two European Cups. Additionally, he won the UEFA European Championship with Italy in 1968. Inter Milan mourned his passing with an emotional statement from President Giuseppe Marotta, Vice President Javier Zanetti, and others. His funeral took place on Monday at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio in Milan.
