Story summary

Peacock announced the cast for Season 5 of "The Traitors," a reality competition series where players compete to win up to $250,000. The new lineup includes celebrities like singer Cody Simpson, Mormon Wife Whitney Leavitt from "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," and actress Kristin Chenoweth. Other notable cast members are Bronwyn Newport (from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City") and Bianca Del Rio (RuPaul’s Drag Race queen). Host Alan Cummings will assign some players as traitors, who secretly plot to eliminate the faithful each week.

The show recently won seven Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program. Season 5 is set in Alan Cummings' Scottish castle and includes returning favorites from previous seasons.
