On Friday morning, around 9:30 AM, a reported incident occurred at St Hilarion's Residential Care and Nursing Home in Adelaide involving an altercation between a male volunteer in his 80s and a female staff member in her 60s, resulting in both being hospitalized. The man allegedly assaulted the woman with a weapon, causing upper body injuries that required medical attention but were not life-threatening. Witnesses told The Advertiser that the woman suffered from a 'difficult airway.' Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries; while the staff member was injured by the volunteer, the volunteer self-inflicted his own wounds as a result of the incident.
