The Aporia
John Gotti's grandson, Agnello Gotti, married Puran before being scheduled to begin a federal prison sentence on June 2, but received a two-month reprieve after claiming he needed to donate a kidney to his mother. Federal prosecutors contested this claim, arguing that the surgery could have been performed within a federal lockup, and it never actually occurred.
On June 4, Agnello was charged with assault for allegedly choking and slapping Puran during an argument in East Norwich over a suspected affair. Initially, Puran dismissed the incident as a "regular couple's argument," but after his arrest, Victoria Gotti, known as the mob princess, called her daughter-in-law a "rat." The case remains pending in state court.
Meanwhile, John Gotti’s nephew is serving time for wire fraud, having admitted to scamming over $1 million in COVID relief funds through his auto parts company and investing about $420,000 into a failed cryptocurrency firm.
