The Brisbane City Council has proposed euthanizing a bulldog-cross that attacked real estate agent Ajay Malik on October 16 in Chermside, Brisbane. Malik was running in 7th Brigade Park when he was severely injured by two unleashed dogs, one of which later died from police shooting wounds. The surviving dog, now in council care since the attack, faces a destruction order following its classification as dangerous. Owner Layla Evans, who was arrested on separate charges after the incident, has not contested this decision and has 14 days to do so or seek an internal review with an additional 28 days for external appeal if upheld.
