As of November 4, 2026, two people were killed at a Citibank office complex near Tampa, Florida. The incident occurred when Jacob Pearson, aged 35, stormed the Citibank Center in Brandon and shot a female victim execution-style, killing her as she tried to escape. Shortly after noon, Pearson crashed his gray sedan into the campus before opening fire. The suspect was fatally shot by a security guard on-site. Authorities identified the deceased woman as LeAnne Selman, 41, who had been targeted specifically due to a delinquent $2,500 credit card bill and subsequent legal issues with Citibank. Pearson had called an attorney affiliated with Citibank earlier in the day, threatening violence if a court hearing over his debt wasn't canceled.
