As of November 5, 2026, Ukraine and Russia have exchanged hundreds of drone attacks overnight, impacting critical infrastructure in both countries. Russia targeted a Nova Poshta logistics hub outside Kharkiv, which it claims was used by Ukrainian military to assemble drones, as well as power substations in the Dnipropetrovsk region and a cargo ship in the Black Sea near Odesa. Ukraine reported that Russian strikes damaged nine regions' energy infrastructure, including power substations in Kyiv and Zhytomyr, causing widespread power outages. In response, Ukrainian drones set off fires in an industrial zone in Ryazan, Russia. The Russian Defence Ministry used 128 attack drones and two Kh-35 missiles during the assault, while Ukraine's air force managed to intercept or neutralize 105 of these drones but reported impacts at 18 locations.
