Telstra, a major telecommunications company, apologized after thousands of its customers reported receiving phantom missed call notifications and delayed voicemail alerts on their mobile devices. Some users received multiple notifications at once, with some dating back several days. The issue was linked to Telstra's MessageBank service, which experienced a technical glitch but has since been fixed by the company. There is no indication that an external hack caused the problem; Telstra stated it was investigating the cause of the malfunction. On their Facebook page, over 3,000 users posted comments expressing confusion and frustration about the issue.
