On November 1, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla were attending Antigua and Barbuda's 45th independence anniversary parade when a sudden torrential downpour caught them off guard. While Queen Camilla was quickly provided with an umbrella, King Charles remained drenched without one, visibly showing his frustration by gesturing for help. The incident occurred at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda, during the couple's six-day Caribbean tour focused on addressing historical issues such as slavery reparations. Despite the mishap, they completed their visit with a farewell ceremony before departing from VC Bird International Airport on November 4.
