Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, the youngest member of Congress and representing Georgia, has become the frontrunner for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination after a successful midterm election victory. His odds of becoming the nominee have risen to 24%, up nine percentage points from the previous day, and his chances of winning the presidency are now at 18%. Ossoff secured over 2.4 million votes (58.9%) against Republican challenger Mike Collins in a crucial race previously targeted by Republicans. This victory has fueled speculation about Ossoff's potential run for president due to his strong fundraising capabilities, bringing in more than $100 million in donations. The 39-year-old senator, often compared to former President Barack Obama for his progressive-centrist appeal and oratorical skills, criticized the "lame duck" Trump administration during his victory speech.
