NSW Health in Australia is investigating a data breach after a hacker claimed to have accessed around 100,000 sensitive documents from an isolated server. The incident was reported by a cyber threat intelligence platform called Hackmanac on November 2, 2026. According to the hacker's post, they exploited a misconfigured subdomain and exfiltrated approximately 70GB of data, including files dating back to 2020. NSW Police cybercrime detectives were notified about the breach at around 1 PM on Friday. Cyber Security NSW confirmed that no patient data was compromised and stated that the affected server is isolated, minimizing potential impact.
