As of November 3, 2026, Hong Kong's economy recorded a 5.2% year-over-year growth in the third quarter, marking its 15th consecutive quarter of expansion. The Census and Statistics Department reported that retail sales rose by 6.4% in September alone. This growth was partly driven by a significant increase in AI-related product demand, which saw a 64.9% surge year on year in the value of September shipments. Overall, Hong Kong's economy expanded at its fastest pace for the first three quarters in five years, with an overall growth rate of 5.1% for that period.
