Scientists have detected signals from the zeptoverse, which is 100 billion times smaller than an atom, through experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN on the Swiss-French border. The research, led by scientists based in Cambridge, could lead to a new and more complete theory of how the Universe works. This discovery comes from smashing atoms together to break them apart and analyze their components. The BBC's science correspondent Pallab Ghosh explains the scale of this minuscule universe.
