The technology at the centre of the push is the company’s patented building-integrated photovoltaic, or “BIPV”, system, which allows traditionally passive building surfaces to generate electricity.

Unlike conventional rooftop solar panels, ClearVue’s technology can be incorporated into windows, cladding and balustrades, effectively turning a building’s exterior into a power-generating asset.

Its transparent solar glass is of particular interest because it lets natural light pass through while harvesting solar energy, potentially helping buildings reduce their reliance on grid electricity without compromising their appearance.

The company has already taken a significant step towards demonstrating the technology in the region.
