On November 1, 2026, a Learjet 60 worth $2 million crashed near Greenacres in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing all nine people aboard. The plane departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and was headed for the Bahamas when it nosedived into a residential area at around 12:50 p.m., clipping trees and power lines before erupting into a massive fireball. Among the victims were an aspiring airline pilot, Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, aged 20, and a Texas couple with their two young children. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman defended the co-pilot against emerging conspiracy theories online. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, which showed preliminary signs of parts breaking off before impact.
