On November 1, an ambulance driver in Ohio abandoned a patient they were taking to the Cleveland Clinic after getting lost and decided to take an Uber home instead. The incident involved a private ambulance company called Lynx EMS, not Cleveland Emergency Medical Services (EMS). After the driver left, Cleveland EMS responded to provide aid and transport the patient to the hospital.
In response to the incident, Lynx EMS issued a statement saying they took immediate steps upon learning about the situation to address the matter and ensure the patient's well-being. The company added that they are reviewing the circumstances of this event and will take appropriate action based on their findings.
