Quick Summary

Oil prices dropped as Washington and Tehran expressed optimism about ending their conflict, potentially reopening the Strait of Hormuz. However, Gulf nations were pessimistic, with Goldman Sachs raising its oil price forecasts due to doubts about translating diplomatic rhetoric into actual peace. At a summit in Bahrain, regional leaders emphasized diplomacy while privately expressing concerns over possible renewed hostilities following US midterm elections.
