The refugee charity Choose Love, set to benefit from Sebastian Croft's prize money of £83,000 from the BBC show *The Celebrity Traitors*, has accused Israel of committing genocide during its conflict with Hamas in Gaza. The charity will receive half of Croft's winnings and claims on its website that Palestinians "are still experiencing a genocide." Choose Love, which focuses on aiding queer refugees among others, was supported by celebrities like Gary Lineker in an open letter to the Government last year advocating for a ban on arms sales to Israel.
Jack Rankin, a Tory MP, criticized the charity's actions, stating that using charitable designation to promote extremist agendas should concern everyone. He noted it is particularly alarming when public funds are used contrary to national interests.
