On October 31, 2026, Tottenham secured a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The match took an early turn when Jean-Philippe Mateta, a Crystal Palace forward, was shown a red card in the 13th minute for a studs-up challenge on Micky van de Ven. This left Crystal Palace with only ten men and allowed Tottenham to dominate the game. Archie Gray scored the first goal for Spurs in the 25th minute with a header from a corner kick, followed by another goal from former Brighton player Jan Paul van Hecke in the second half. The win marked Tottenham's third consecutive victory under manager Roberto De Zerbi and increased pressure on Crystal Palace’s beleaguered manager Pierre Sage.
