On October 29, 2026, a violent home invasion occurred at a multimillion-dollar mansion on Hyde Park Circle in Toronto's affluent Bridle Path neighborhood around 3:45 a.m. The suspects, three masked men armed with handguns and a hammer, forced their way into the house through a rear door. David Morton, CEO of Mac Group, his wife Doriana Zohil, and their two adult daughters were inside at the time.
All four family members sustained injuries during the attack: David and his two daughters were shot, while Doriana was struck with a hammer. They are currently hospitalized, with two victims suffering life-altering injuries. Police identified one suspect, Daijohn Richards (23), who had an accidental gunshot wound but managed to escape from the hospital without being arrested.
Toronto police continue their investigation and search for the remaining suspects involved in this high-profile case.
