As of October 30, 2026, the US State Department approved a $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine, with deliveries to be funded by contributions from Canada, Germany, and Norway through the US JUMPSTART program, along with national funds from the European Union's Ukraine Support Loan. The decision aims to bolster Ukraine’s defense against Russian ballistic missile attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy had earlier accused the Pentagon of delaying critical missile deliveries amid increased Russian attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Lockheed Martin is designated as the principal contractor for this sale, which will support Ukraine's efforts to stabilize Europe politically and economically.
