As of October 30, 2026, the Directorate of Building Control (City) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) issued a warning notice to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F), demanding the removal of unauthorized construction at his residence in Islamabad's G-6 sector within 15 days. The notice identified three violations: illegal construction in building setbacks, a guard post built on CDA land, and a generator also located on CDA property. According to records from March 18, 2019, when an NOC was issued, Rehman had previously promised to rectify any setback violations within three months and adhere to all regulations, which the CDA now states has not been fulfilled.
