Karl Lindsay, a former chief executive of Taunton Town Football Club in Somerset, pleaded guilty to offenses related to drugging and raping a woman by her husband and others between 2015 and 2025. The incident occurred in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester. Lindsay resigned from his position before being charged. In addition to Lindsay's plea, seven other men have admitted to sexually abusing the victim at various hearings. These include Keith Fotheringham (59), Sean Peers (38), and Graham Brougham (74). The trial for nine additional defendants accused of similar sexual offenses against the woman is scheduled to begin on Monday at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
