The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and its players association have agreed upon several changes for the upcoming season, including a rise in minimum annual base salaries to $52,500 US by the 2030-31 season from $42,000 this campaign. Each team's full active roster will expand to 24 spots starting this year, up from 23 previously. Additionally, teams are no longer allowed to carry reserve players, who were permitted under three contracts in previous seasons. Training camps for the PWHL begin on Nov. 18, with the regular season set to start on Dec. 5.
