Bangladesh police recovered the body of former Air Force Flight Lieutenant K.M. Tahsif Souri from the Turag River in Dhaka on October 30, 2026, a day after he went missing. Souri, who was in his late 20s, filmed a video showing deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaving Bangladesh in an Air Force aircraft on August 5, 2024. His body, wearing white trousers and a black shirt, was found near the Rajabari Ghat area of the Turag River after police received information on October 28, 2026. The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, with a phone and wristwatch helping identify him. Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed declined to comment when asked if the incident could be related to hostility stemming from the release of the video.
