On October 28, 2026, hackers leaked the personal details of over 41,000 U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees, including those from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The leak includes names, work addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of DHS staff involved in various operations, such as surveillance and human intelligence. A group calling itself "the Department of Peace" claimed responsibility for the data breach. In response, DHS is investigating the incident while attempting to mitigate risks faced by its personnel; an Icelandic hosting company, FlokiNET, has been asked to take down or limit access to the leaked information.
