Hayden Panettiere's death, the 36-year-old actress known for her roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," has been officially ruled accidental by South Carolina police on October 28, 2026. The Greenville Police Department concluded its investigation based on the Medical Examiner’s determination that she died from a toxic drug mixture including fentanyl, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine. Panettiere was found unresponsive at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16, where emergency responders administered advanced cardiac life support but could not revive her. No signs of trauma or foul play were identified during the investigation, which involved the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
