Dapo Richard Oni, a Nigerian artist living with albinism, has created a comic book series featuring characters with albinism as heroes, aiming to inspire and empower young people who face similar challenges. Drawing from his own experiences of growing up without representation in media, Oni collaborates with illustrator Okechukwu Omeire to depict stories of resilience and strength. The initiative aims to address the lack of positive portrayal of individuals with albinism in Nigerian culture and media, providing a much-needed role model for children who may feel marginalized or underrepresented.
