Rachel Clement, 29, a former teacher at Henderson County High School in Kentucky, has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse with a position of authority or special trust and one count of tampering with physical evidence. According to The Hendersonian, Clement was caught sending sexually explicit text messages to a student after an investigation began in May 2026. As part of her plea deal, she will be banned from teaching anywhere in the United States for life and must register as a sex offender on the national registry indefinitely. Additionally, Clement is prohibited from having any contact with her victim or their family and cannot return to school district property. The case highlights the severe consequences faced by educators who engage in inappropriate relationships with students.
