Toronto experienced significant highway closures on October 26, 2026, with roadwork scheduled to disrupt traffic in several areas. The most impactful closures included two right lanes of the Highway 401 westbound between Highway 2/Kingston Road and Meadowvale Road from 9 p.m. on October 26 until 5:30 a.m. on October 27, as well as three alternating lanes of the Highway 401 westbound express between Leslie Street and Bayview Avenue, closed from 8 p.m. on October 26 until 5 a.m. on October 28. Additionally, one alternating lane of the Highway 400 southbound between Finch Avenue and 401 was scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. on October 24 until 5 a.m. on November 7 for maintenance work.
