Sushi Oe, a highly acclaimed Japanese omakase restaurant in Sydney, has recently relocated from Cammeray to the new Sydney Fish Market. Chef Toshihiko Oe now offers more seats and easier online bookings, making it more accessible than before. The venue, which was previously known for its monthly lottery system, is featured on Good Food’s 100 Essential Restaurants list. The new location features a bespoke room with spotlit wood counter and a variety of textures including steel, paper, and stone. Chef Oe now provides detailed explanations during the meal, which includes about 30 courses, with highlights such as onigiri made from two varieties of rice topped with various high-quality ingredients like imperador belly and storm clam. Regulars and newcomers alike continue to praise the restaurant for its exceptional food and atmosphere.
