Mike Valladao, a systems engineer from California, transforms into "Farmer Mike," or the "Picasso of Pumpkin Carvers," during fall to carve intricate designs into pumpkins. This tradition has spanned over four decades, with Valladao creating hundreds of whimsical and artistic pumpkin sculptures in Half Moon Bay. Wearing his signature orange overalls and a farmer hat, he carves everything from ghoulish faces and seaside landscapes to pop culture icons like Yoda and Charlie Brown.
