Meghan Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., 82, is under investigation for allegedly possessing a trove of child pornography in his home in Cebu, Philippines. His son, Thomas Jr., discovered "hundreds, if not thousands" of images while clearing out the house and reported them to authorities, who are also collaborating with FBI investigators in the US.
In response, Meghan Markle issued a statement expressing her distress, explaining that she had been aware of troubling allegations against her father since 2018. She clarified that distancing herself from him was solely for protecting her children, Archie and Lilibet.
Thomas Sr. vehemently denies the accusations, calling them "sick lies" and stating he could never do what he's being accused of, while receiving treatment at a rehabilitation center in Florida.
