A sportswoman who 'lifted' those around her died in hospital days after a devastating bedroom fire ripped through her home.
Laura Edwards, a keen darts and bowls player, was left fighting for her life while her elderly father was forced to climb from a bedroom window onto the roof of a conservatory to escape the flames.
An inquest in Maidstone heard how the 53-year-old had spent the day in Hythe with friends before returning to the detached property in Cobbs Close, Paddock Wood, where she lived with her father following the death of her husband, David.
