An armed poacher sneaking up on unsuspecting rhinos was ambushed by a herd of elephants and trampled to death as he lined up a shot to cash in on its prized horn.
Two men with a high-powered rifle and an axe had crossed into the iconic Kruger National Park in South Africa looking for a potential £10,000 payday with a single shot.
