Manuel Otto, a 30-year-old German video game creator and influencer, died after reportedly setting himself on fire during a livestream on Twitch. The incident occurred in an attic room of his property in the Bavarian village of Breitbrunn am Chiemsee on Tuesday evening. His body was found following a fire that a neighbor attempted to extinguish. Stick Run, the game he created at age 14 and which has been played by tens of millions of people worldwide, confirmed his death on social media. The company stated, “It is with a heavy heart that we confirm and announce the passing of our creator, developer, and fellow Stick Runner, Marc-Manuel Alexander Otto.” Twitch removed the livestream to prevent it from being viewed further.
